STEPAN STEPANOVITCH CHUBUKOV : A landowner
NATALYA STEPANOVA: His daughter, twenty-five years old
IVAN VASSILEVITCH LOMOV : a neighbor of Chubukov, a large and hearty, but very suspicious landowner
2. PLOT:
l Exposition:
Lomov come to Chubukov’s house wearing a dress-jacket and white gloves and rises to meet him. Lomov come to trouble chubukov with a request and already the privilege of applying to propose marriage to Natalya Stepanova
l Complication:
The Chubukov very happy because Lomov propose marriage to his daughter but the lomov nervous if the Natalya not love him, and the Chubukov make convincing to lomov if Natalya also love him, And then Natalya meeting the lomov with brought tea to lomov. When the lomov and Natalya chatted with intimate situation, suddenly lomov said if Oxen Meadows is his family ownership, but the Natalya interrupting him, because she thinks Oxen Meadows are ours. But lomov does not like about Natalya’s statements
l Climax:
Lomov and Natalya war statements about Oxen Meadows ownership, and it make Chubukov hear that polemic and he also not agree with lomov’s statements and they all was lead, the suddenly lomov takes headache but the Natalya and Chubukov instead chase away the lomov. Suddenly Chubukov remembered if lomov came to propose marriage the Natalya. And then Natalya asks to her father to call the lomov came back with cried.
l Resolution:
The lomov came back to Chubukov’s house but they still war statements about Oxen Meadows ownership, and then the lomov pretend dead in front Natalya. And the Chubukov and the Natalya with contrite if lomov was dead, but suddenly was wake up then Chubukov and the Natalya pardon to lomov. Finally lomov and Natalya will marry and they romantic again and they are very happy.
